SQUAMISH
A small town of 15,000 we are used to knowing most everyone on the street and work hard to keep Squamish a close knit community.
Shopping, Dining and Entertainment
Our little city offers a variety of retail stores, services, and 30 restaurants to meet the needs of the community and visitors. A list of restaurants is available at the Squamish Adventure Center web site.
Parks and Recreation
Eight Provincial parks are located in the area and there is an extensive network of municipal parks and trails. More information at The District of Squamish web site. Recreational facilities include three 18-hole golf courses and the Brennan Park Leisure Centre with an arena, an indoor pool, and playing fields.
Services
Squamish has a full range of health services, including a general hospital.
There is an art gallery, a public library, a railway museum, a native cultural
centre, a community theatre and churches of all denominations.
